Seafood on Bree Street

Seafood on Bree Street

Established in 2017

Cape Town’s seafood Heritage with a modern Twist

fresh, local & sustainable

Thoughtfully crafted comfort dishes using the freshest locally sourced fish. As proud supporters of SASSI, we only serve fish landed on South African shores — and never red-listed fish.

SeaBreeze · 211 Bree Street

Alex and Ruth Grahame, our co-founders from the North East of Scotland: “Cape Town’s harbours overflow with spectacular seafood — we’ve created a restaurant to celebrate it.”

Meet our Chef Patron

Alex Grahame

“My approach is to let the produce speak for itself by choosing quality, preparing carefully, and cooking accurately. Simplicity and precision are key to creating memorable dishes.”

Trained from the age of 15 in Montpellier and at London’s five-star Athenaeum Hotel, Alex went on to open Hornblower’s seafood restaurant near Aberdeen, win the Cullen Skink World Championship and run the main restaurant at the Balmoral Castle Estate. Today he and his wife Ruth run SeaBreeze with the same values: respect for ingredients and a commitment to sustainability.
